Not enough money to show...? |
well my situation is very stressful for me. my spouse lives in nepal and in order for him to come here to america, i need to show a bank statment showing that i have $2,000 dollars in the bank. i don't have a bank account nor do i have that much money. how will i be able to get help with this? what do i have to do? i really want him to come here bad,it's been 3 years we have been together i need help. i have an invitation letter written already, i just need the sponsor letter and the money, i'm new at this but if anyone have any information that may help me any websites about financial aid with helping me or anything i will be very gratful. please someone help me thanks... I think you have been misinformed, All you should have to submit is your past three years tax statements along with an affidavit of support showing that you earned enough money to support yourself and your family, Immigration goes by the poverty guidlines for the amount of people in your family and the poverty guidline is pretty low. I think you need to go back to the Department of Immigration web site and do a little more reading on the subject or call the immigration service center and ask for help. How much money do you have? Take what you do have and start an account, some places you only need $100 to start one. This should be the first step. You can get help from your church or community. Donate plasma(alot), get another job, ask for a loan from the bank or friends. Or, you can just work(you have a job, right?) and put away so much every week for savings. I got in trouble last time I said this but here it goes again. Employment! Get a part time job. Many, many stores are hiring for Christmas. My kids are working part time at a Christmas tree lot and bringing home over $150 a week, each. Are you sure all you need to show is a bank statement? When I sponsored my husband for citizenship a year ago I had to send them copies of my tax forms proving that I made enough to support the 2 of us. They want to know that he isn't going to be working illegally until he is granted permanent residency. |
