Can I get into UC Berkeley or Stanford with these stats???

As of now (I am a rising senior):
-cumulative GPA: 4.5 weighted; 4.0 unweighted
-class rank: top 5% of 304
-SAT's: 2210
-have taken AP comp. sci., AP physics, and AP english; i scored 4, 3, and 5 (in that order)
-have taken seven courses at a junior college
-participated in a youth-organized AIDS conference, challenge days, and mentoring for junior high-schoolers
-tutoring high school students in spanish and chemistry
-75 hours volunteering at a senior center
-swim team for two years
-piano lessons in spare time, as well as babysitting for a family for the past 4 years
-spent last summer at a leadership institute
-interact club and CSF

so, looking at all of this information, what are my chances? i am white, female, and middle-class...nothing too exciting, but i am particularly adept at writing essays. UC Davis is my safety school...is this an appropriate choice? thanks!

You look like a good candidate on paper- check out the Claremont Colleges too. They seem like they would be an excellent fit for you!

I've worked as an undergraduate admissions rep for two institutions (not these two) and you sound like the kind of candidate that I would definitely be interested in meeting for a personal interview. Keep up the hard work and you'll do just fine!
