How do I escape this constant paranoia?

I always feel something is about to go wrong; that someone or some event is going to hurt me or ruin my life. For instance, I am afraid to tell others personal details about me for fear they will use that information againt me. Also, I am constantly in fear of catching diseases (including AIDS and Hepatitis) from doing normal things like going to the store or shaking someone's hand. I always act extra cautious about everything I do and say as if the slightest wrong move could be the end of me. How do I get over this?

I am not doing any illegal drugs and do not drink alcohol of any kind.

im with batista on this, its probably ocd. they can treat this very easily most of the time after they find out what triggered it in you. go to your doc, or a counselor, both can help. goodluck.

Please see your doctor. Paranoia isn't pleasant but you don't have to live like this.

you may be suffering from OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER.

I ALSO SUFFER FROM SAME THING.

If you stop drinking and/or drugging, those symptoms might disappear in time.
