How to make a presentation creative?

For a Lit class I was assigned a presentation. I must discus William Faulkner's biography, works, frequent themes, historical context, contemporaries, and current relevence. My teacher challenged us to make the presentation creative, and interactive. I am not a very creative person and normally I would just deliever the information and ask if there were any questions. We can use any aids including but not limited to, video, powerpoint, and hand outs. Thanks for your time.

I would like to give you some tips for creating good PowerPoint presentations:

1. Be sure each slide contributes toward the primary point of your presentation. Shorter presentations are more understandable and more memorable, so if a slide isn't adding something important to the main thrust, either remove it or move it to the background materials.

2. If the PowerPoint show is meant for unattended viewing (the viewer watches it with no speaker present) use voice narration. Video Edit Magic lets you illustrate and discuss concepts using selected images and your own voice.

3. Unique presentations get the attention they deserve, so think of innovative presentation techniques. the best way to appear to be creative is to not take something seriously but still do it as best you can. play around with it... have fun with the info.
for example. Faulkner is very dark, so when discussing, for instance, "A Rose for Emily," show happy pictures in the background while you tell the class how the story is about death and insane decay. it just makes for humorous irony and will the keep the class's interest.

You could do anything like a simple word presentaion with a nice font, and some pictures, read the main facts out (interactive) and leave the rest for the teacher to mark!

Make sure you dont go over board on fonts and pictures!

I'm with you--not very creative. But here are some ideas:

If you present specific works, you could dress like the character(s)

You could do it as a roast

You could present the info in question format & throw candy to the audience for correct answers

Set music to your power point.
