Help? financial aid/boarding school?

I am in the process of convincing my parents to let me attend boarding school, only they won't think seriously, because it costs 34,100 a year- my mom doesn't even make that much a year, my dad runs his own buiseness, we have 2 car payments and a house payment. it is so unrealistic to allow me to attend. but, i keep telling them- financial aid and scholarships, but they won't listen. If you went to boarding school, how much financial aid were you offered, is there any possible way to get a full scholarship or even under 10,000? if you have any information at all on boarding school finances information-i appreciate it. please don't tell me to google it.

I went to boarding school for part of high school, and , while I did not receive any aid, my roommate one year was on full scholarship. While I am not a financial aid expert, I do know that there are many boarding schools with substantial endowments that are very generous with aid. All the people that I knew who were on scholarship, though, were outstanding students, so you will probably need to have an excellent academic record.

if public school is good enough for the rest of us its good enough for you and leave your parents alone your a bluecollar family you cant afford it.

The best way to figure this out is to take this question directly to the school. Call the school, and ask to speak to the person/department in charge of financial aid.

When you get to someone, just tell them your situation, and see what they can do for you. Usually schools that cost that much have A LOT of aid for students. However, you're family sounds like it's upper middle class, so you might not qualify for much. However it doesn't hurt to ask.
