What are the basic reasons for Indians mentality not changed over 60 years after Independence?

Please refer below before answering. Below mentioned answers already taken from Answers replied previously. I want the exact answer for my question.

India got first place in Information Technology.
India got second place in population of AIDS patients.
India got third place in prostitution
India got fourth place in women slavery.
India got fifth place in Accidents.
India got sixth place discipline.
India got seventh place in give & take respect.
India got eighth place in cheating.
India got ninth place in selfish.
India got tenth place in non-hygenic food centers

For an exact answer, do refer to yourself first ---- cause u too are an indian, i presume.
Ask yrself & u get the answer to the "why?'' & ''what''.

THEY ARE BORN WITH THAT AND IS NATURE YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT.

let me give u a good news:
a disease has been named after u....

the brain disease for unhelpfully incurablly stupid and moronish people.......

It sounds to me like a man thang. Theyre not allowing enough input from the ladies.

please take example of your own question... you have asked a question that condemns the entire Indian race... and your question is open to the world for reading it and making fun of Indians...

now read other answers... that have come across because of your question...

There is no EXACT answer for your question. While I would argue that Indians have changed a great deal over the past 6 decades (there is less stress on caste system now than ther was 60 years ago, arranged marriages are less common now than then (though still common), etc. there are cultural norms which have persisted (and I'm not sure this is necessarily a negative thing).

Reasons for a resistance to change would be that culture and tradition keep some things in place. It's not clear what your expectations are. Do you think India should return to more traditional ways following independence and drop influences from British imperialism or do you expect that after being "helped out of savagery" by the Brits, they should civilize themselves? I really don't see where you're coming from. India has changed greatly and while you seem to be focusing on things that you perceive as negative, India has many positive attributes and has made many positive world contributions.

Do you have any lists about Indians mentality. Some mentalities need not get changed. For example Indians have tolerance and forgiveness as their basic mentalities which are the fundamental needs for every humans.Do you want them get changed. Some thing need to be changed and the Indians changed in those areas. The evidences are their growth. In some mentalities they need not get changed and they strongly remains in them and that's why they are loved by all.

Because time takes time. Generation one is now 60. They raised generation 2 who are now 40 with the old thoughts and values. Generation 3 is now 20 and are just getting started making some changes.
Like is observed with language, 1st speaks only old country (say German) language, 2nd generation speaks both English and German and generation 3 has no idea how to speak German.

I don't find any flaw with Indian Mentality . Every nation or a group of people in the micro sense have their own positives &Negatives , India is not an exception ?
I think the problem lies with the mentality of people asking such questions ; i.e a complete denial of the realityt .

Let me ask How old are u ? over 60 then you can feel difference changed or not and can say. As well as I feel India changed so much and education can not spread in overnight to millions of people.
You people compares with western world but never think before to our multi cultural and multi language and multi religious society and a great nation.
Nation who always grow with his own culture and language always keeps step ahead with solidty.
Example : western world and eastern countries like Japan, Korea, China etc.

Slave mentality.

the basis of mentality of a human-being is the belief-system.

the belief system can be based on experience of reality, or it can be an imposition.

India has been dabbling with belief systems of religion and science. This situation has not changed in the past 60 years.

Both religion and science are imposed belief systems and not based on experience of reality.

religion is unable to define true characteristic of a human-being and is shrouded with mystery.

science is also unable to define true characteristic of a human-being is only concerned with material wealth.

both religion and science haven't been able to address humanity. humanity is the belief system based on experience in reality.

'Humanity' in a human is rooted in his 'always being resolved' - which is reflected as happiness. Man seeks solution 鈥?or wants to be resolved in all his relationships 鈥?within himself, with other humans, and with nature at large. Being resolved thus, the human-effort doesn鈥檛 cause conflict in any of these relationships. This leads to all human-efforts resulting in success.

Humanity can be recognized by a human - only with Samajhdaari.

Samajhdaari is a combination of:

(1) Knowledge of Existence,
(2) Knowledge of Jeevan (the conscious aspect of a human-being),
(3) Knowledge of humane-conduct.

Such samajhdari is capable pf aligning the mentality of every human-being with coexistence.

It is this mentality - that can make india truely win. It will not be in the framework of competition.
