I have three swollen lymph nodes, two on the back of my head and one on the side of my neck.?

They are sore, they swelled up three days ago and were tender. Has this ever happened to anyone? I have heard that Aids and Cancer are associated with this. Any information would be helpful.

The lymphatic system is largely a filtering system. If you happen to have some sort of cold, flu, or infection, your glands might swell in a certain area. If they are still swollen, you might want to have them checked by a Dr. You heard right on the AIDS and cancer. These are very serious infections. One you can catch, and one you develope. Either direction, the lymph system tries to filter out the "bad cells". Like I said, go to the Dr. if they are still swollen and tender....
