How can I obtain a copy of the IRS 1040A that my mother filled out last year? |
I need a copy of my (parents) 1040A from 2006 in order to apply for financial aid. I also need to know my mother's social security number. The only problem is last May my mother's crazy friend who she met online and who hates me came on a bus from Albany NY to our house in MD and my mother just had us pack whatever we could in 1 moving truck and our van in 1 day and just "move" to Albany, NY all in 1 day. I am 20 but have not learned to drive, so in August my mother, accompanied of course by her friend, drove me back to MD for college, but her friend made it clear that I could never return to their apartment in Albany, meaning that I now have to stay with my father at my grandma's house during breaks from college. And my mother refuses to to contact me or respond when I try to contact her. So how can I find out her social security number if she refuses to talk to me? And how can I get a copy of the 1040A she did for 2006? I need this information to apply for financial aid. Help. If I were you, I would try going to the financial aid office of the school you want to attend and telling them the situation. They must have run across a similar situation before and have an idea hw to handle it. Good luck! |
