What is Computer aided software enginearing?

I whant to know what "computer aided soft ware enginearing" does? I want some information about goals, ways, applications

Its basically CAD (COmputer aided design) software that enginers use to design products. it show spec on your design and can show you virtual example of what your desining, used to build houses, make parts ect.. just a ton of things you can do with it..
