Do you trust President Bush's wartime strategies?

This is just a question that I need a personal answer for. I want to know what people think of certain leaders that are currently militarizing. This is information that could possibly aid me in my future endeavours.However, your source of information to answer this question must be found yourself.

He is no leader, even people in his own party are starting to question his leadership and the House of Representative is actually defying him. No, I do not trust Bush to even know what wartime strategies is.

Personally I do not trust anything Bush does or says. He will go down in History as the worst president ever!!

Something you should keep in mind is that it's not Bush's "strategies". He's no all knowing field-general that gives commands to the troops. That what his generals do.

They give him the scenario, offer the best course of action amongst a group of other aids and using that information, they all make a decision advising The President of the best course of action and with that, he gives his orders.

Do I trust The President in making wartime strategies? No, not by himself however, I do trust that our government (as a whole) knows what they are doing during a time of war as we have in the past.

I served my country during the Gulf War and I understand how the chain of command works as well as the leadership of it's commanders on the war-field works.

To an average citizen, never seeing combat or experiencing war, they would be a fool to believe they could do a better job than our existing government.

Very few presidents direct military strategy at a level significant enough to make a huge impact. At least the smart ones. This is one of the major reasons that Nazi Germany lost WW II. Hitler tried to dictate military strategies to his generals and wound up freezing his soldiers to death 60 miles outside of Moscow.

President Bush's strategies are to seek out and destroy the terrorist infrastructure so that they are incapable of producing the type of attack that occurred on 9/11/01. This is not an easy task because these terrorists do not live in one country, wear the same uniform, or march in a straight line, shoulder to shoulder. They are cowards, killers of innocents.

Our troops are implementing the strategies of their commanders, in order to accomplish the broad goal of stopping terrorism before it can continue to take the lives of innocent men, women, and children, not only in our country, but throughout the world. Is it working? Yes, I think so.

Why does the press think any war will be over in a short time. The 1st Iraq war was kind of a fluke. The "6 day War" was also a misnomer. How long did the "Cold war" last? Carter's folly with Iran lasted over 400 days. Clinton's war is still going on. The only wars that are quick are the movies. How many decades has the war on drugs gone on.

On a unrelated subject could we throw a switch to change from fossil fuel to renewable energy? Did we learn nothing from the .com era & how it caused Enron & Global Crossing to go bankrupt?

I can tell by your question that you are not a student of war. I say that not to offend you, its just an obvious fact. The President is not a general, he is the Commander in Chief. What does that mean? He is not the one planning war stragegies, his Generals are. They plan the war and brief the President on what they are doing. The President's main concern is if the field commanders have what they need to fight the war. So, it is not really Bush's wartime strategies, per se. War strategy is not a Commander in Chiefs expertise.

I think America is being hamstringed by the politically correct left of america, and the media. Both are instead of helping america win the war, they are looking at any way possible of hurting Bush and the Republican Party. To do this, they focus on the troops, and are constantly looking at ways to discredit them. They have become nothing more than watchdogs for our enemies, and a tool for Al Queda. When terrorists strike, the media blames Bush. The left say they support the troops, but if that were true why have they already tried and convicted our marines before the investigation is complete? The truth is, they are against anything Bush is for, and if that means stepping on the military, so be it.

Bush has personality issues. There is a high probability that he is neurotic. No, I don't trust him.

isnt it a coincidence that both his father and him went to war?the 9/11 was planned out.in 1991 his father started desert storm and it was in iraq.10 years later george w bush wanted a excuse of goin to war.how? president bush is part of a secret society called skull and bone society.call it the modern day nazis.anyways i dont give out too much info.

it doesn't really matter whether I trust his strategy or not, but so far he has managed his positions well, now it is becoming interesting how he face the consequences

I think that the US has entered Vietnam part 2. We have successfully destabilized Iraq and now, if we pull out Iraq will be in shambles, and if we don't we will sacrifice our citizens, our economy and the economic future of our children, not to mention our security. We have created a new generation of people who will fight against oppression (and the oppressors are us BTW).
