I want to go to college?

I have a son now and i'm trying to go to school, I filled out my fafsa and it says i'm still going to have a family contribution even though i have a child now. I really want to go to college and gets something under my belt, I've even been thinking about going into a medical field. I just don't have any idea where to start. I need the whole sha-bang, any sort of gov't aid possible, websites, any information i can possibly get I appreciate.

I know exactly what you are going through. I have a daughter and just finished filling out the FAFSA. I believe that everyone has an EFC (estimated family contribution). From what I have been told by the schools, it has to be below 4500, and you will still receive Federal Pell Grants. There are also scholarships out there, go to the school that you are applying for and check their financial aid page. Another option is the state that you live in, google or yahoo that with scholarships. Some state representatives give scholarships in their region.
