Does there really need to be a concert to raise awareness of climate change?

I'm pretty sure that everyone who as access to information about Climate Aid also has knowledge of Global Warming. Or do pop stars just want to make themselves feel better for living in massive Bel-air mansions with butlers for their butlers?

Well, the massive expenditure of energy they will use for the concert could certainly go to other, more useful uses.

NO! We are all well aware of it and the causes of it. One of which is pop stars travelling around the world in planes and gas guzzling autos.

Climate change is supposed to happen anyway.All we're doing with our industrial emissions is speeding it up,not actually creating global warming from scratch or anything.

Well, it doe's help to highlight the problem and raise awareness, which is what they're trying to do.

No it would be more useful to not have the concert thereby not producing any emissions or pollution of any kind.

Yeah it's just another "right on" ego trip for them,how many will actually cycle or walk or car share to get there,will their amps etc be powered by wind turbines,or will they be powered by Al Gore's hot air? anyway did live8 really achieve much,most people go to these things just to have a good time,just think of all those potable air con units purring away to Madge and co cool,the helicopters flying in various exec's,who no doubt will say that they have planted a tree or two to off set their carbon foot print,your are right there is plenty of easily accessible info out there,after all you can't turn on the news with out them running a story on Global warming,do we need Madonna shouting about Polar Bears,and telling us to drink fair trade coffee? I don't think so..:0)
