Are there fashion scholarships for a person who is a non national of the US?

My brother is a talented young fashion designer who lives in Trinidad and Tobago a small twin island state in the Caribbean. He is interested in studying in the US but is in need of financial aid. Any information on international fashion design competions or any scholarships would be appreciated.

I'm sorry for not being to provide more exact info, but several weeks ago I have spotted an advertisement of an Italian fashion academy (deadline in Nov. 2006) for Master's course in fashion. They have a limited number of scholarship, regardless of the country of origin. The announcement was in the "Int'l Herald Tribune", I hve quickly done a search, but couldn't locate it anymore.

I'm sorry, I don't remember the date. It was like late July of early August...
Generally it is true for all scholarships (not for arts or fashion only): : very few scholarships for bachelor's, but quite a number for master's. Good luck to your bro. Report It

The best way to find out if your brother is qualified for any financial aid or scholarships is to call the fashion schools that he's interested in attending. the best ones in the States are FIT and Parsons in NYC and the FIDM in Los Angeles.

Good luck. I really don't think he's qualified because he's a non citizen.
