I need information....please help!?

My main goal in life is to one day work for a humanitarian aid agency - like CARE or World Vision etc. I am currently studying Psychology, and I'm hoping to go in to a MSc in Public health and Social work after I finish my degree.
My problem is this -
I don't want to restrict my self to only one area of work, I want to be able to involved in different areas. I would like to concentrate on - Emergency Relief, Health and Nutrition and Economic Development.
Is this possible. Or do you need to be specialized in one area?
What other Courses should I follow? Is Public health and Social
work a good combination to study?

Thanks a lot in advance!.

The joint MSW/MPH is becoming a very popular degree especially in the policy advocacy area of any major health and Mental Health area (this can include infections - HIV, TB, etc; preventable - Diabetes, Heart Disease, etc.; degenerative - dialysis; progressive - MS, traumatic - TBI, paralysis; mental health - Schizophrenia, Bipoloar)

Obviously -work can also include direct service on the various units in hospital and other settings. From what you describe you will want to study "local development" heavily in social work. If you are still looking at universities. Monmouth in NJ. might be a good fit for you.

You will want to look for schools that have both. You might look at the NASW site under the health initiative. DA
