College Information Question?

I am currently a student at community college. my question is if i apply as a freshmen in another college will i be able to get finicial aid. because i never applied or had any federal aid but i think i am eligiable. I do have good SAT score and High gpa from high school but my average currently is not good enough for me to transfer thats why i want to start as freshmen. Currently i have 27 transferable cerdits but average is 2.6.

You may get a grant (money you do not need to pay back), a loan (hopefully defered...you wont have to pay it back until after you graduate), or work study (an on campus job to help you pay for school).

They ask you a lot of things about you, your parents, and taxes.

GPA and test score do not usually effect needs based FA.
With 27 transfers hours why not finish an AA and then go to a University as a Junior?

If your credits get transfered you would not be considered as a freshman. As far as getting financial aid, I am not sure but all you need to do is fill out the paper work and see what you are eligible for.

I am not sure it depends where you live and how much money your parents make. If you are from United States I am not sure but in Canada you can apply thru your College also you can look for Bursaries.

financial aid is not based on GPA. it is on need. 2.6 isn't that bad... and if you have 27 hours I think that would make you a sophmore. unless the classes don't transfer because they don't match up to what the school has and weird stuff like that.... but you don't get to pick what level you start off as...
