Aids and homosexuality in the 80's interview?

i am doing a paper on the poem how to watch your brother die and i am doing interviews with people about how they view homosexuality and AIDS, how has education helped you better understand the subject, does it make you more afraid of less afraid, and if they are old enough how it affected them in the 80's. if anyone has any information and would like to answer those questions it would be wonderful

my thesis is "as more people become educated about homosexuality and AIDS, the less afraid they will become"

there was a beautfiful young woman model in the 80s .. marla maybe , can't recall her name , but she died of this disease .. was a terribly sad story.

the disease is frightening

it is my understanding that it's not a gay disease ... many people suffer and die from it

i do think that a gay person started the disease ... but think there might be question in the fact of this ??

i do believe that the blood bank defines homosexuality as a high risk behavior and there were many transmissions of aids that came through blood .

homosexual males and hypodermic drug users are the groups i think most spread this ?

it's a absolutly horrific disease .. certainly we could all use more education and research ... but i think cancer is still the worse one.

i do not know why they can't cure these terrible diseases . they pour money into the research and still no answers. aids is adancing in survival rates these days , i think ?

lol, when i told my parents i was gay i got a pile of information on aids and safe sex. i agree with you though the more information you have the less scared you will be. at least thats how it is for me. sorry i was born in 1992 so i dont know about that 80s poem.

I am gay and well educated about HIV/AIDS, but it still scares the hell out of me.
