How do I make my presentation more interesting?

I've got a 7 minute oral presentation to do on the topic "You are what you eat: a study of the role of diet and nutrition in health, lifestyle and longevity. Which diets lead to better health and why?" I have chosen to talk about the Mediterranean diet and the Okinawan diet, but due to the scientific background of my topic can't really seem to think of a way to include the audience. I will be using powerpoint as visual aid, but would like my presentation to be remembered for the right reasons and make it enjoyable. I need a way to get my message across, something really simple but effective. Just a bit of b/ground info; Okinawa has the most people living over 100 which is why I have chosen to find out why exactly they are living so long, it is to do with the fact that they have a low caloric diet. The Med. diet on the other hand is known for lowering the risk of heart disease resulting in longevity, due to their high consumption of olive oil, fish etc etc.

Bring some of the actual items-i.e. bottle of olive oil, tomatoes,etc/ or make a sample break, lunch, dinner of each. You could make a salad or something big enough to share with the class.

Just be professional, speak clearly and concisely. Dress in a similarly professional manner- a suit, maybe a dress suit and pants. No need to go over-the-top in a Mediterranean or Okinawan outfit and inspire negative remarks. Clear, short, and simple always works the best.

i would say, try to do something drastic just before your speech. i would try to find like a fat bastard suit, and wear it just before your presentation. and start off with "if only i started with XYZ diet". and then start from there.

people will defenitly remember something like that. and then just as your speech is over. fall on the ground acting like you have just had a heart attack

it may not nessessarily include your audience. however, it will defenitly leave them with an impressional impact. but if u wanna include the audience, try some type of diet based jepardy
