I have an Intel Motherboard SE440BX-2 MoBo ver AA754558-304 Can I use this ram memory.?

I went to the Intel site. They gave some info but did not mention the pin configuration and other specifics necessary to aid in the decision.
I would like to use these from Circuit City:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/OCZ-2GB-D...

if you want to be sure go to crucial.com and run a computer scan they will tell you exactly how much ram you can have and how much you have and how much you can get to improve system preformance

p.s. you can buy the ram from crucial too!!!

First of all, the link that you provided doesn't work.

Secondly, from what I am reading, your motherboard is ancient and takes 168 pin SDRAM and the maximum clock supported is 100MHz, which isn't worthwhile at all. I am pretty sure that the 2GB of OCZ RAM that you tried to link to would have been DDR2, which would be nowheres near compatible with your boards specs.

Also, the maximum supported memory is apparently only 384MB.

Essentially, it's a poor motherboard and extremely outdated, I'm not even sure where you would find SDRAM these days, and if you could, it would probably cost more than DDR2.

That is an older motherboard which uses the older SDRAM as opposed to the newer double data rate ram that is sold in most retail stores now. (it looks to me like your link was going to some DDR2 ram, but the link was dead) According to the spec sheet, the maximum ram supported is 384MB total. Modern systems being sold now do not use SDRAM, and haven't for quite some time.

168 pin DIMMs
66 or 100 MHz SDRAM

Some examples of compatible memory can be found here:
http://www.pcmemorystore.com/Intel-Intel...

Considering the cost to upgrade the ram and the very small capacity because this is such an old system, you'd probably be better served by investing in a more modern system! The last driver updates listed are from 2000

OMG! I remember these boards!.... Still got a few manuals on em. Yep. These use the ol SDRam. Usually these ran 400to 800 mhz processors if my memory serves. Hey! Still viable for an internet surfer though. If it works, use it! Yeah, the Ram is getting hard to find though. I gave away a showbox full of 32 and 64 Mb rams sticks. Figured 128 or 256 would be the min I would mess w/ anymore. You need ram? Start shopping yard sales and buying the ol machines up! LOL!
