Diet Soda?


So since its 0 calories like water...is it just as healthy?

I'm just confused basically i guess. I've heard that ppl gain more weight because they are subject to eat more, since the label says 0 calories.

But that's not really what i'm trying to ask. I guess I want to know how its 0 calories? Can you drink it and still lose weight with a fitness program, and nutritional eating plan? or is it best to cut all soda out your diet in the first place because soda is soda? - - not one of the healthiest things anyway...

Is it better than other sugary drinks, such as kool-aid, or just normal non-diet soda?

Is brands such as Diet Cola and like Sprite Zero, different? is Sprite Zero better thn the Diet Coke?

or is it just a play on words?

ANY information or opinions would be nice and appreciated.

I kow that diet coke is 99% water but the 1% left is bad for you so it is not good to drink but yes you can drink it and lose weight. The weight watchers program allows only diet pop along with water and juice. So YES drink it:) Maybe just not tons of it....

soda is soda and it may be advertised as calorie free but its not entirely sugar free. It also spikes the glucose level which gives you and instant high and then a really fast crash.
Tea with a bit of honey, or water, try to avoid fruit juices as they are high in added sugar as well; unless you buy the unsweetened kind.
Better yet, read the label on the drink that you are going to buy, are they more chemicals or "oil" than actual juice?

Any thing like Diet or Zero means here is no sugar in it technically at least not the usual thing. Instead they use aspartame to sweeten it. Aspartame long term has ben linked to cancer.

So in terms of calories diets are better but in terms of health its better to have the actual coke or sprite than a diet version.


Best advice stick to water!
