My finace woudl liek to attend college, but doesnt meet the requirements for financial aid?

she would like to attend collage ,but she is not married, has no dependent children, and is not 24 years old, her family will not help her with college and the reufuse to let her use them for the tax information that is requested to get financial aid, so how the hell is she supposed to get finacial aid for college then? any input would be great!!

Does she have a job?

She has three choices.
1. Pay for the school on her own. Perhaps go part time while working part time. Community colleges are very inexpensive.
2. Get married. (Sorry, not a good idea yet)
3. Talk with her folks. Let them know this is a federal regulation and that all kids under 24 and have no kids have to report the folks info. Them supplying it does NOT obligate them in any way to pay for her education. On the contrary.... by providing it they will allow her to fund her education on her own WITHOUT their help.

Here is a good book about fin aid and the types of aid she might qualify for.
