Is there any way to see what state has paid for child care to a provider, besides depending on the provider's

I live in Missouri, and have been approved for state aid child care since March, however the provider says she hasn't received any payments yet, and she continues to charge full price weekly. Is there any way to find dfs payment info?

I understand that the provider can charge the REMAINDER that dfs is not paying, however I am not getting a break from her at all. She claims they are not paying her yet, even though we send monthly forms in to dfs.

Yes, it is available under FOIA. Talk to your case worker - the one you went through to get the aid in the first place. Also, the daycare provider CAN charge more than DFS pays, and YOU ARE responsible for the remainder.

i would start by contacting your local DHS office. check the phonebook, web, or local police and they should have an 1-800 number or local contact number for you.
