Could you give me some information on the Dracula and other Vampire legends?

I am starting on a story based on the poem series out here on answers about the Son of Dracula鈥?I want to keep it fairly consistent to the original novel, legends, Black and White films, and the 鈥渢ruths鈥?of the character鈥?or at least know the bases so I can change them a bit in my own version.
I am no good at going through long pages of pure info, though I should try attaining that skill for now I do not have, so I would like it if some of you could help me by telling me what you know or posting links to sights that are easy to find the information on.

ALSO, IMPORTANT; Does anyone know the name of the queen who killed virgin girls and bathed in their blood? She is going into the story as well and I need to know more about her.

I don鈥檛 care if it is the true stories or the well-known fictional tales I just need as much info as I can get on them!

Elizabeth Bathory (a 16th century Hungarian countess) was the woman who killed over 650 virgin girls and bathed in their blood to retain her beauty.

According to one of the creation theories, Lilith was believed to be Adam's first wife. It is believed in Hebrew lore that Lilith was the first vampyre, though others consider her a daemoness or succubus. It is said that Lilith searched for men who were sleeping alone and then seduced them and sucked their blood.

Lilith had an equally ancient counterpart known as Lamia, a cave dwelling vampyre who made her first appearance in Greek mythology. Lamia was the Queen of Lybia and a beautiful woman by whom Zeus had fathered children. When Hera, the wife of Zeus, found out, she forced the queen to devour her own children. Though she dare not refuse the empress of the gods, from that moment forward she haunted the nights, robbing other mothers of their children.

Funny, but Dracula is a Christian movie...

- Ultimate evil
- exists out of the sun (light)
- sun hurts/kills it
- holy water hurts it
- cannot look at a cross or is burned if they touch one
- lives off the blood (life) of others
- killed by a wooden stake to the heart
- must return to the grave each day
-the bite of one is supposed to bring on a feeling not unlike sexual fulfillment

I am sure there is more, but that is what I can think of at the moment.

Also note that as the movies get newer the vampires are less impacted by the cross. I even remember one movie where the vampire reached out and took the cross from the person holding it and laughed. I took it as a sad commentary on our society....
