World College (Online Computer Degree)? |
This is a distance education school, and I was just wondering will it be accepted among employers. They are a sub-division of Cleveland Institute of Electronics to offer bachelor degrees in Computer Information System with Network Security which has been around since 1934. CIE is actually qualified to give financial aid by the government, but World College is not because it's fairly new. I figured it has to be legit because of this, and they're also accredited by DETC and certified by the state council of higher education for Virginia. I don't need to know what schools will accept it after I achieve the degree; I've already checked that out. I need to know will it be worth the while, because it's the only thing I can afford right now considering they offer a low $125 a month payment plan. So, after I receive the degree, and all those computer certifications, will it make any difference to an employer that it's an online institution? Here's the link below. Yes, it will matter to employers if it is on-line accredited etc. etc. Currently there are many non-accredited colleges, offering inadequate education. Find a bricks/mortar college....some classes you can take on-line. Do not waste your time on something that will get you no place. (college prof/ retired IBMer) |
