AIDS History Report, links. The Beginning of Aids - The Public?

I'm doing a History report on Aids, i dont need information about aids (nothing like t-cells, how to prevent aids, facts, etc.)

I need the history, i have some pretty good WELL KNOWN websites and i was looking to see if anyone knew of any sites that explains how the public viewed aids in 1980's.

Like if they thought it was strictly homosexual based, the public has no concern, they blame africans, they blame homosexuals, abstinence. Stuff like that, i'm looking for some information or really hard to find links, Help would be appreciated!! =)

And please no gov. sites, i have all the gov. sites, and information sites. I would like some hard core history links that took hours of googling and searching. I've been searching the internet for 2 weeks to find something but have only come up w/ about nothing or the usual prevention tips.

Aids was believed to have been passed on from chimps to humans in the very beggining, so either someone was chopping up chimp meat cut his finger and transfered the blood or someone had sex with a chimpanzee.
