University of Houston - Downtown?

I was accepted for the Fall Semester of UHD as a transfer student. Problem is my finances are shaky at best right now. I'm retired military and currently get 1100 dollars in GI Bill Benefits.

That plus my meager retirement doesn't allow for me to pay tuition, books and live independently. So my question is quite simply. I made to much money this year to qualify for federal aid.

What other means of financing my future should I look into?

Are there any programs at UHD that helps pay for tuition or programs that help low income people? Basically, any information you have would be helpful.

By far your best bet is to make an appointment with a councillor at UHD and lay out your problems to them.
