How to get financial aid to study abroad??

Hello, how can you get finaicial aod to study in Europe ? How do most people start looking for information and is it trrue tehre are Grants that can help you? thanks so much

First of all, start with your university and fill out the FASFA, and then you can find out what you ae eligible for. Whatever grants and loans you qualify for can usually be applied to a year abroad. Be persistent and ask your FA officer for grants that are offered independent of income.

Also, check out the internet for different grants. Sometimes you can find some specifically for students that want to study abroad. Are you a grad student? If so, you can take out what you need in loans, but that would be a lot to pay back.

Or are you planning to study as a regular student in Europe (no exchange program)? If so, check with the European school to see if they have grants for foreigners. Often they do, but usually they're for European students or students from developing countries.
