Should I send letters of recommendation to colleges, even if they don't ask for them? |
A few of the schools to which i am applying do not request letters of recommendation. I am certain that I will be accepted into these schools but I would like to boost myself as much as possible in order to maximize my merit-based aid from the university. Will sending essays and letters of recommendation increase my chances of getting the maximum scholarship? Or will they merely be discarded as useless information? The schools that do not ask for letters of recomendations don't want them or they would ask for them. I wouldn't send any. You might just annoy them and it would show that you cannot follow their instructions given for admission procedures. |
