How long does it take to receive your financial aid money when you attend school online?

I applied for financial aid about 2-3 weeks before I elected my school. My first day of class was July 1st,2008. I am now after 5 weeks starting my second class and still nothing. I did have to amend taxes and submit info but before that I received the run round...misinformation ....I am getting emails from lender stating they are waiting for school to certify loan,however school says i'm in verification process....How much longer should this take?
