What do you think of this student-teacher predicament?

Ok so there is a class at my school that you can take and be a teacher's aid. I asked my history teacher from last year if he would need one and he was like, "yes and you would be perfect for it." So before summer he sent an email to the lady that runs the program saying something to the effect of "I know it's early to ask but I want Katie next year" So I didn't think much about it but when i went to information day i ran into him and he said he talked to her the other day and is making sure that he gets me. He also used to do stuff last year like pick on me about little things in like a flirty kind of way. He would tell me things that i wasn't allowed to repeat like his opinions on certain misbehaving students and he was like "you always brighten my day when you walk into the room" the thing is i like the attention but im not sure if this is going to go somewhere that i dont want it to. Advice?

He might just be friendly?

I have a teacher that sounds like that, sort of, but he's like that to his favorites but I know he'd never "flirt" with us.

Just don't push it.

Teacher's aids are usually during a period where they have a class...right?
If it's not, then try to get out of it, just to be safe.

Sounds like your intuition is telling you something.

I wouldn't tell my counselor and ruin this teacher's career over what could be a misunderstanding. I would just find a reason not to be his aid. Let him know you have too much extracurricular activities or something of the sort.

The bottom line is this, you asking for advice because your uncomfortable with this. So remove yourself from the cituation and inform your counsler or some other trusting adult that you are comfortable talking to.

I think it is up to you to make sure that is goes nowhere. Be very careful and I mean very careful.

wow i had the same thing.
well except the teachers aid thing lol.
i would be like the outgoing most talkative one in his class..
basically talking to him infront of the class ask about personal questions and stuff he would always flirt with me and look and call me out alot.
i thought it was so intersting and awesome a teacher and student thing he was cute so it was like way better to deal with. but he was married and i got to scared to actually go further then that..
so i didnt do anything further.. he told me i had to stay for dentention because i didnt do my homework but alot of other students didnt do it either but didnt get dentention so i thought something was going to happen me being me i ditched dentention and thought what was going to happen if i didnt...

its hot to think about it because things might happen that shouldnt but always feels better doing things you shouldnt.
but i guess i was to scared to do anything about it. so i say the hell with it go with the flow..
