Should I resort to stripping?

Should I resort to stripping?
I am a 23 year old girl. I have been looking for a job for a month now since being fired from previous job and I have only landed one interview. That interview is with a temp agency that has yet to contact me with job info. I live on my own and my apartment is 850.00 a month. I have bills and credit cards that are due and I am BROKE! I cant even enroll in school this semester b/c im an independent student and if financial aid doesn't cover everything I will not be able to pay. My mother passed away when I was young and my father is not in the picture. So asking mom and dad for the money is out of the picture. I don't know what to do. I don't even have money for food right now and the jobs are just not coming through. I really need money and stripping just seems like the last resort. I really don't want to and it hurts to even have to think about it, but I don't know what to do. Please help!

Being out of a job can be really hard on your self esteem. Becoming a stripper will drive that self esteem right into the wind. Get 2 jobs or 3 if necessary. I know this sounds harsh, but, believe me-you'll survive. I did and I had 2 teens to raise at the same time. I wont tell you it was easy, because it wasnt, but after a while, I had saved up enough to go back to only one job.Wait til you see the next place you go for an interview. When they see that you held down 2 jobs, they'll look at you with admiration. You're young and you have the stamina for this right now. If the next job isnt exactly what you want, use nights to study for a better job. In other words,it can be done.

If you see tripping as a last resort, leave it that way. You have some much that you can do in this world and I don't think your name is hooker. I have been in those places and if a woman who's really hurting for money, customers will entise you to do other things your not suppose to do and next thing your hating yourself. Use your mind not your body to make money. Have you tryed waitressing? They make good money. Go to places like red lobster or a nice scaled resturaunt. You maybe able to bring in your month's rent in two days.

Good Luck!

There are plenty of things you can do outside of stripping. Unless, you enjoy that kinda thing. Many young people have resorted to working two jobs to make ends meet. It may be lame, but try going on Monsters.com and look for jobs there. I can tell you now that Hallmark is always looking for field service merchandisers. It is only part time but its a start. People who have that job, love it. Next try department stores, grocery stores etc. You may be tired for a while but guess what you will have a roof over your head. Another thing look for a roommate or 2. Plenty people your age share. Good luck, honey.

How many hours a week are you spending looking for work?

Why were you fired, and are you listing this job on your applications?

How many times do you go back to check on the status of your applications?

Most people, especially now, have NO IDEA how to find a job in a bad economy. And finding a job has NOTHING to do with the internet if you are not highly skilled and/or experienced with great references.

If you want more advice, please contact me directly. But as history has taught me, most Americans don't want the truth, they want the easy way.

If you want the easy way, go strip, great money while you are young but not much future in it. Just stay away from drugs & prostitution.

good luck to you dear.

Don't do it. Statistically, women who strip never meant to stay there so long. Your problem isn't just in needing more money but it is rooted in spending as well. I could be wrong, but you mentioned credit card debt. Not good. So, more money, more spending, more debt and hard to get out of the hole. You need a new, healthy outlook on money. Watch Dave Ramsey on you tube or suzy Ormon...you don't have to buy anything to get plenty of information and inspiration from these two.
Try calling your credit cards to work something out until you land a job. Have a garage sale or post some possessions on Craig's list (free). Ask your landlord for an extension on your rent and show him/her that you're really looking for work. This ought to buy you some time. Finally, consider retail, waiting tables or even fast food...they are always looking. Anything is better than selling your body. You're too smart for that. Stripping leads to drugs and prostitution. Don't let anyone tell you different. God bless you.
