Can I still apply/be eligible for financial aid with only a Certificate of Proficiency (I took the CHSPE) ?

Okay, so I'm really confused and nervous right now. I passed the chspe and I'm planning to go to a community college, but I'm not sure whether or not I can apply for financial aid because it's not an actual diploma or a GED. So am I still able to get financial aid with only the "Certificate of Proficiency"? Anyone who has experienced from this or knows any info, please help. Thank you. =)

Also, if someone has benefited from taking the chspe...Can you tell me in what ways? (If that makes sense) Thank You! =)

The CHSPE is an actual GED and is treated as a full equivalent by most schools.
