Is McCain guilty of conspiring with Ronald Reagan to sell weappons to the Contras in the 1980's?

In the debates last night McCain admitted to being close to Ronald Reagan and assisting him back in the 1980's. Ronald Reagan was asked if he aided the Contras by selling them weapons back in the 1980's and the subject was , for all intensive purposes dropped when Reagan used his "bad memory" to claim that he did not recall such an event. Will John McCain fall back on his loss of memory as well?

OR he changes the subject or diverts the question, strangely enough just like Sarah Palin seems to do whenever she is questioned too closely on matters that SHE prefers to forget as well. When are the American people going to realize that they are being fed a series of lies, over and over, by administration after administration? When do we get to pull out the cuffs and stick these govt people where they belong?

That's why I consider it all to be like the WWE wrestling. One day a wrestler will be a "good guy" with a particular story line and a month later all that will be forgotten and he will be a "bad guy". That is how the politics in this country work. When i was a kid in the 80's I can remember the adults around me talking about what an evil man Ron Reagan was. How he was a liar and a war monger and he cared only for the wealthy and the elite. Now, somehow he has been deified by the GOPs and they are pushing him as a hero- have been for nearly 20 years now. Truth is he was a bad president and a liar. His Reaganomics with its inherent trickle down effect left many struggling people far worse off than they were before he came to office.

What was the question? Oh, yeah...of course John McCain could have been involved in the Iran contra affair, most of the people who did the real dirty work were never dragged into the light because that debacle too has been transformed from something that makes Nixon's watergate scandal seem like a misnomer in a soundbite into a heroic gesture of sacrifice.
