How much does calworks pay someone for childcare ?

Ok,so my neice gets cash aid through calworks,and is starting school,she wants me to care for her daughter.Does anyone know how much they pay an individual for childcare.Im trying to figure out since i live a 20 min away from my neice if ill even make money or in fact having to pay because of gas.Im posting this question,because shes always clueless,so shes doesnt give me reliable info....lol

Have you considered asking Calworks?

They probably pay market rate. Call around to a few daycares in the area and ask how much it would cost to enroll a child of that age. Then have your niece talk to her caseworker about how much you'll be charging and make sure that sounds good.

they pay what is the rate in your area or if you are license you can pick your own rates, like 5.00hr or something like that...
