Gay men wanting aids?

I was really depressed 2 weeks ago and just wanted to end it all. So I went online looking for info. I ran across this one message board with men with aids offering to give it to other men who wanted to end their life. How long would it take to kill you after you have sex with someone with aids if you didn't take any meds?

It depends on your individual immune system and the opportunistic infections that you get. Those infections are what kill you, not HIV itself.

You obviously do not remember the early days of the epidemic, watching the horrible suffering and long painful deaths of those who died before medications were developed. It's a terrible, terrible way to die.

Don't be a fool!!! I work with HIV/Aids victims and they are very ill without their meds. Dieing from complications to Aids varies on the individuals health to begin with. Some linger for many years. They lose vast amounts of weight looking like gaunt skeletons. Their bodies develop open sores that are very uncomfortable; these sores are if open exposing blood may cause infection to others if blood is pasted to blood, bruises and bed sores are easy to come by and are painful. Their muscles ache, they become bedridden and need assistance for the most menial tasks: such as bath. These folk are pron to pneumonia (of which kill many of them) and due to their low immune system are pron for other illnesses that are just as debilitating. In my opinion death by Aids is slow, painful process. Anyone wishing to contract this disease needs to re-think their options and anyone offering to assist someone in contracting this terrible disease needs to be charged with manslaughter.

why the hell would you want to infect yourself, HIV is what you will get, and overtime once it weakens your immune system, to the point where you will forever be sick, and the meds that you will be taking to suppress the virus, will make you feel worse and worse. not that im for suicide. in fact im quite against it. but, if you want to end your life that badly, if you want to find a permanent solution to what i am sure is a temporary problem, then find the tallest building you can find, and jump.., if not, get over it.

It would take maybe 10 years to start showing symptoms, but like the others have said it's not the AIDS that kills you but common illnesses. Your immune system becomes impaired making it much easier to get very ill from something that might not normally kill a person.

And technically it would be murder, I do remember a case where somebody that knowingly had HIV was convicted of murder for infecting somebody. It's a really shitty way to go out, especially because you would have to be careful about sex, and tell any partner that you are with sexually that you are positive. You'll have many common illnesses magnified.

That would varry greatly baised on your current helath, the strain of AIDS and numerous other factors.

Seriously ending your life is not he answer to anything. Life is a gift - everyone goes through rough patches. Suicide is not the answer. It really isn't - what every you are going through can get better...think of all the opportunities you will loose if you kill yourself.

First of all, you need to be looking for a counselor to talk too. I to have had times where I felt like what is the point in going on but there is a point. It is never that bad where you need to end your life. You have to be strong and you can get through it.

Second, why would you want to end your life with AIDS? That's just torture.

Why would you want to add aids to your life? It's no joking matter -- Aids is extremely serious.

Not only that, but it won't kill you overnight. It attacks your immune system, causing you to become more susceptible to other illnesses OVER TIME.

it differs but is usually a slow painful death. Lasting years and years even without medication. You should be looking for help, not for ways to kill yourself

My friend has aids and it takes a lot out of your body. Its a somewhat slow death. Don't go get aids from some guy.

It would be quicker, easier, and more certain to use a gun instead.
