Animals in dire need of serious help!!!...who can help?

i am a humane officer for a animal shelter. we our having several problems with our shelter and the necessities that we need in order to take care of the animals accurately. we are allotted $100,000 dollars a year... you as well as i, know that 100k is not enough for running a shelter. that money is supposed to be fore bills, food, medicine, animal products,etc. food alone is killer on our budget. i am going to send in a DVD of our shelter to one of those television shows and see if they could help us out. only thing about doing that is theirs a chance that it might not happen and if it does it could be in the way future. winter is coming right around the corner and our kennels are falling apart. the gates do not open and close properly, weather doors for the kennels do not slide down or are missing completely. the walls are cracking and the bricks are about to fall over. their is no insulation and the roof is falling down along with leaking in several spots. our carpet in the office is full of bacteria due to the walls leaking. we are trying to do as much as we can but have no time or help. their are three of us who take care of this shelter. my supervisor, the administrative aid, and me the officer. between trying to clean and feed their goes several hours of the day. we have 32 dog kennels and they are very small. no play area for the animals. the cattery is a small walk in closet with six kennels. we do not have money for medicine or supplies to take care of the animals. we do get some donations every now and then from caring people that will donate us some towels or blankets. occasionally we get some sort of dog leashes or cat toys. random stuff, however everything is greatly appreciated. we are currently trying to get a washer and dryer for the towles and the blankets. at this current time myself and my supervisor do a lot out of our own pockets and time. we put extra hours in all the time or come in on our days off. does anyone know how i can get some help???? we are in desperate need. how can i get donations? money? anything???? if you know of something, someone, or somewhere please respond with a way to get a hold of them. i can get in touch so we can trade contact information.

Okay so, I am not entirely sure, but here are ways I think you could maybe make some money:
*Post a video on youtube showing your shelter, letting people know this is a really good cause and that these animals need help. On youtube you can make a button that people can click taking them to a paypal site, that allows them to donate to your cause.
*you can sell things via fundraisers such as:

*You can set up boxes around your town, with a sign that says: donations for animals: Blankets, food, pillows, anything.
I am sorry I don't really know any people, but you could send letters into talk shows, they really love helping good causes like this:

You are hardly in a unique situation. I also work at a shelter, and we are in the same boat......as are most shelters. Summer is a hard time of year and with the economy, it is only going to get worse. I assume many shelters will end up having to close.
