Why are members of the American Legion .........?

spewing out completely false information pertaining to Illegal Immigrants in a Booklet? Have they been caught up in the propaganda to? These are people that sponsor Boy Scouts, Baseball Programs, and have even helped children living in poverty or with special needs.

How many other groups out there are doing the same? How can we believe the negative?

America's largest veterans organization has launched another campaign 鈥?a hard-line attack on undocumented immigrants that's at odds with the legion's mainstream image. As part of this effort, the legion, which purports to speak for 2.7 million members, recently issued a booklet that regurgitates discredited and often completely false information about how "illegals" are bringing crime, disease, and terrorism to this country, even as they wreck the economy for natives.

The legion's 34-page booklet, A Strategy to Address Illegal Immigration in the United States, asserts that "poverty, political instability, disease and war" are "on our back doorstep" because of porous borders and the failure of the government to stringently enforce immigration laws. But in making its case, the legion repeatedly cites dubious sources, ignores well-known facts and makes baseless claims 鈥?such as the false assertion that the undocumented infected more than 7,000 people in America with leprosy during a recent four-year period.

How will they explain this to the kids?

They are doing it for the same reason any group spews out lies. They are counting on the simple fact that a lot of people will believe anything without questioning those "facts". There is Leprosy in the US and it is documented mainly in immigrants from countries where it is widespread. I could not find ANY documentation that they are ILLEGAL immigrants.

The American Legion is an Organization that put their lives at risk to protect the Sovereignty of America. Did you expect them to welcome illegal aliens with open arms?

I do not see any false info there, am I missing something. They do bring crime, disease and terrorism. they are doing this because they are doing what all veterans do, "Protect our Country". I hope there are plenty of other groups preparing the same things and spreading the word about the way the illegals are tearing this country apart!
Explain it to the citizens kids that have lost parents or family members to the illegals one way or another.

They arent undocumented workers; they are illegal alien criminals. And I support the American Legion, their positions and their efforts as it relates to these criminals, "Bob"/ "Vote pedro".

They aren't undocumented immigrants. They are criminals who entered the USA illegally.
