I saw an infomercial today about John Beck's real estate program thingy?

is it legit?

when I saw it the first thing that popped into my head was that it's too good to be true, so I decided not to call..... although it would be nice to buy a house by my college for less than $500 and live in it without worrying about payments and then buying cheap houses and selling them for college money so I never have to apply for aid again!...

has anyoe else seen that and called for the info and then got results? or is it just a scam I was smart not to call about....

I have seen john beck on tv i don't know ham many times, including carlton sheets, and russ whitney, they are all full of crap.

THere are NO $500 houses out there, if they were worth 500 bucks why would they really be worth 80,000????

even the most rundown parts of north dakota and montana and iowa you would need to pay atleast 20,000 for a small house.

You can learn how to buy tax liens and certificates by visiting the "real estate" section of your local bookstore.

Is it possible to buy these houses for under $500? Yes. However, they need to be owned free and clear because the lender will foreclose before the county can sell the home. So only the mentally challenged or the elderly will allow a house to be lost due to not paying property taxes. If you have the heart to evict these people, then go for it.

You were smart to not call. I have been told that Beck's program is quite expensive, and there's frankly no information in it which will help you buy a house for that price.

There are precious few houses sold anywhere for $500, unless they are in such dilapidated condition that they are close to demolition state.

The few decent houses which slip through the cracks and are sold for a real deal can be counted on one hand.

thier system is impossible and even rare. They make money buy selling their material, not real estate. Whatever they are selling, read up on it yourself. Go to the library and read. You will see what they are talking about isnt as advertised and there are many loopholes in what they say.

One word SCAM.

All he is selling is a system. A bunch of CD's books, tapes whatever. Beck and the rest of these late night real estate moguls are NOT getting rich buying real estate, they are getting rich off of folks who are desperate or want an easy way to make money. What happens is the lure is the cheap $30, $60 etc materials..ahh, but it doesn't end there...then, they want to sign you up for their *special seminars* or retreats, which will drain your bank account to the tune of thousands of dollars. Google any of these guys names and the word scam, and start reading others experience who have tried this stuff, that only has worked for a select few. That's why on the bottom of the screen when they have the guy who was homeless and on his last $10 who found this *system* ..they have a disclaimer of how "Situation is unique" (As in, just because Joe Blow bought a house for $500 doesn't mean YOU will) ...don't waste your money. These courses are just landfill fodder.
