My Black Psychic Confirmed Stereotypes? What Do You Think?

I see psychics from time to time for entertainment. I am open to the possibility that some of them may have true psychic abilities. However, I understand that many of them are cold readers. However, they all would tell me great things that I loved to hear so I kept coming back.

However, this past visit I had a horrible experience with a psychic. She happend to be African American. I am not a racist. I saw her picture and info on a the store's website and asked to see her. During the reading, she told me that I need to be cautious because someone in my life has an STD. She then asked "Have you had an STD before?" I then said "yes" because I had contracted an STD from being raped. She then said a bunch of things like "I don't know why people these days are so casual about sex. If you sleep with someone, it is like sleepign with all the people they have slept with." She then went to to say that a friend of mine sleeps with guys that don't care for her and only want sex. She said "Now this friend likes to go to the club a lot." She said this friend will get pregnant and the boyfriend won't be there to raise the baby. She said my friend will have an abortion. She then asked me if I had an abortion. She kept talking about STDs and said "Now I am seeing herpes. I am seeing, raw, redness, blisters." It really made me uncomfortable. I have issues with being raped have having had an STD. She obviously was not psychic or she would have known I am not promiscuous. She seemed to judge me when I said I had an STD and then go onto ask about abortions. All the white psychis I saw NEVER said anything out of line. They all said great things and told me to follow my career path. However, this black psychic told me that I wouldn't make it in law school (my dream career) and that I will end up being a nursing aid. She also said that my father's cancer will return and my mother will be laid off from work. (My mother is the owner of the company so how can she lay herself off.)

Isn't it rude to talk about STDs during a reading? I am not racist but what happens when your steretype is confirmed?

She just asked you a simple question and you answered yes. So, that's all she had to work with. That's why she kept going back to that same bs. I wouldn't worry about it. Most of them get information out of you without you even knowing and they branch out from their. I think she was being rude. Go somewhere else from now on!
