Is This Babysitting Drama?

I recently began babysitting for an 8 week old little girl. I babysit in my home, and I got this job by placing an ad on craigslist. I planned on watching up to 3 children, and I got 3 kids signed up right away.

My fees are very low, $25-$50 below the price of an actual daycare facility, which I felt was fair based on the fact that I'm not a licensed facility, even though I am trained in infant, child, and adult CPR as well as First Aid.

Okay so all that is background info! I told the mother of the little girl that I'm currently watching, that starting Monday I will have 2 additional children, and she didn't exactly get mad, but it was clear that she preferred her child to be the only one I cared for. The conversation kind of ended there, and it wasn't a BAD conversation, but I feel like I should say something when she comes to pick the baby up. My husband said to just leave it alone, that if she doesn't like it, good luck finding another sitter who will only charge you one low weekly rate and still be willing to only watch one kid...he said that I have to make a living, and if she wants to discuss it further, let her bring it up.

My only concern is, I don't want all 3 moms showing up at the same time Monday and having it be an awkward situation. The other 2 were totally fine with me watching more than just their kid, because if they were to go to a "real" daycare...obviously their kid wouldn't be the only one there.

I guess I'm just looking for advice on whether or not I should talk with this mom further and make her feel more comfortable with the idea of more kids being here, or if I should go the route my husband suggested and let it be and if she doesn't like it let her find someone else.

Help?

How am I running an illegal daycare? I'm babysitting 3 kids and legally I can sit for 5 before requiring a license...

You said the other 2 moms were ok with you sitting for more than just their kid. No awkward situation if they show up together.
If the one mom who is concerned about this shows up, maybe she'll learn from the attitude of the other 2.
I think she's being unrealistic about wanting a sitter for only here child. If she has a problem with this, let her go someplace else. Or she can find a babysitter that will work in her home with her child. I'm sure you'll get another mom with a child that doesn't mind the other 2 kids.
Don't take this personally. Things like this happen.
