Studying abroad in England?

Hi there, I graduated in the year 2008 from high school.
I'm a citizen of the UK, and a permanent resident of the US.

Basically, I would love to study abroad, and start my freshman year of college in England. I've been signing up for free information and stuff. I noticed though that some of the requirements to study abroad, you must be a US citizen. I was wondering if anyone else had any troubles like me?

Also, if studying abroad doesn't work out, I am considering just moving to England to go to a uni there. Are there any universities that are semi-easy to get into? I don't want to go to a college, because I want to be able to live on campus and have it paid for with financial aid.
