How do I apply for scholarships?

I'm lost when it comes down to this. I've been to a few websites and all the do is provide information about them, not actual applications.

Can you please help me find good places for scholarships of wide variety?

Also does it matter when I apply for them? Or is it like better if you wait until taxes like when applying for financial aid?

I don't know I'm really lost and I've been stressing out this whole senior year!

My greatest references for college scholarships, even as a college graduate is Fastweb.com. You create and account and profile and will send you scholarships that would suit your personality as well eligibility. When you look at the descriptions of these scholarships they will direct you to a website or say so right within the description as to how to apply.
It is never too early to start applying for scholarships, it should be a perpetual effort on your part even while in college. You will not want student loans hanging over your head, especially in this economy so stop reading this and start applying!
