Social Security Disabilty Ins. (SSDI)?

If you are granted SSDI how long will you get it??? My claim was processed pretty fast... I do not know if I will ever be able to work again? Back in Oct of last year I was on the brink of death and had no clue I had AIDS .... I am feeling a little better now but get tired and weak any information is appreciated thanks

Sorry to hear about the AIDS thing. That being said, you're not likely to ever NOT qualify for SSDI .

Take care of yourself. Don't worry about this - there are advocacy groups out there with lawyers that concentrate on making sure people don't get screwed out of SSDI. They are generally free services, too. If there's an HIV/AIDS community outreach type organization near you, you should get involved with them. It will be good for your mental health to be active and have a support group of people in the same situation as you.

You can get SSDI for as long as the Social Security administration deems you unable to work....even if that is for the rest of your life. They have guidelines that they go by but as long as you continue to meet those you can get SSDI UNLESS you choose to go back to work and make more than 800 dollars a month then you would lose it.

Its not the AIDS buddy, I suggest you check into other things to make sure you dont have something like cancer.
