Hearing aid - Help please?

I've received a pair of new hearing aids today.

And she told me it has a volume control, which is great.
But there's this little button, underneath where the volume button is.

I don't remember my audiologist telling me about it.
They're a new Technology.
Siemens Reflex DP.

Any help or information would be great.

Thank you :)

It might be for the t-coil, the buttons have replaced the switches. It may have multi-memory capabilities and actually service different functions. Some have ICOM Bluetooth compatibility.

I'm hoping that yours is the multi-memory with t-coil. That gives you the most flexibility. Your audiologist really should explain all the features to you when they fit you.

Congrats on your new ears! I'm still waiting for my new one.

Dude, there's google. hahahaha!

You know, what does it look like? Doesn't it have any letters saying?

:[

type in Siemens Reflex DP i checked, there is so many useful links.

im sure my answer is not that helpful but hope it helps though lol hehe xxxxxxxxxx

Hi there!...it's an ampilfication application, to be used in conjunction with audio systems, found in some commercial and government buildings, it's to assist you in hearing conversations or pre-recorded sounds. (it replaces or is to be used in conjuction with the old loop system)

Dude u got new Hearing aids? yay im so happy for you!
But idk what Siemens Reflex DP is but ill look it up for you!

hold on:

well i tried searcjing for it but nothing came out on Google nor Yahoo/Ask!

srry i couldnt help!

i reccomend u pay ur Doctor another visit and ask him what the button is for! Because u never know what its for! Dont press it either without knowing!

Just call the audiologist right away. I'm guessing it may be an amplifier or there are some with another extra volume control for like filtering out background noise, etc. Hope they have opened a new life for you. Mine did. Good luck.

You should call your audiologist and ask.

Look in the Book that came with the hearing aids. This will show you where that button is located.

grats on the hearing aids. I am envious.
They could be to turn it off, or to start the T-loop for telephone use
