Leopard gecko shedding difficulties in the winter please help!?

I currently own a 7 year old leopard gecko, and she has 2 hot rocks in her cage, which I also regularly mist. She has shed fine up until about a year ago during the winter time, when her shed began to stick to her body and not shed completely, and last year the tip of her tail turned black and broke off. This year her tail has become bloody after shedding and there appears to be a reddish rash on her chin and a dark pigment around and in the lid of her right eye. I am very concerned because even with the use of a shed aid, skin has remained around her face and her tail is bleeding. I really don't know what to do since there is no information available about this on the internet. Please give me some advice if you know anything, I don't want her to become ill or diseased. thankyou

I'm surprised you've never had this problem before since you have heat rocks in your tank. These need to be thrown away immediately. These should never be used for any reptile. The only heat source they need is an under tank heater. The hide (we use a large Glad-loc container with a hole in the side) should be filled with vermiculite or moss with just enough water added so it it doesnt drip out when tilited and placed right over the heater. The gecko will stay in there the majority of the time and the humidity will help it heal and shed properly. There is also no need for any kind of shed aid if the tank is set up properly.

first get rid of the hot rocks, they can cause a lot of harm, if you don't believe me, watch her feet, they'll bleed next. the shed ease works well, but dehydrates like no tomorrow. the red under the chin could be a burn, or many other things. the tail bleeding is really odd, and i couldn't explain that truly. if you could provide a pic or an explanation of how and where its bleeding from, itd help a lot.

Get her a breeding box... little container with lots of damp soil in it and mist atleast twice a day.. and make sure she has a water dish! she may want to go for a soak... if the skin is sticking really bad and she starts bleeding again fill a dish with warm water and hold her in it for a while... the breeding box would be your best bet though...
