I'm seriously considering applying for boston university but I'm not sure about all the details..help?

I'm not sure about a number of things:
- I'd be an international applicant (from the UK) so I'm not sure what that would entail
- Does financial aid apply for international applicants?

As much information as you can give would be really helpful!

I have been researching attending school myself in the UK. In the process of doing so, I have learned that US financial aid does cover UK education as long as it is on the list that FAFSA is part of.

What I have also learned is that there are many UK universities that have special scholarships and programs for foreign students. One even said something like "if you can't get a loan from US financial aid, don't worry-we will extend a loan to you".

Bottom line-from all I have read, the UK and the US want each other's students to come over and visit. Good Luck.

My take on this is that you are most likely eligible from either the US or the UK. But here in the US sometimes if you have really good grades AND you add to the DIVERSITY of the class, they try to get GRANT money for you.

I would also consider enrolling yourself in a UK university and many of them have programs that allow you a year abroad and the tuition you would be charged would be the same as whatever you would be charged by that particular university there in the UK....which is very affordable from what I have see.....like HALF PRICE of here in the US.

So I would call your own universities financial aid deparment there and have them help you. You can also read about the FAFSA website for the US. FAFSA is actually the form that any student in the US has to fiill out for financial aid. To go along with FAFSA every qualified eligible school that is allowed to get financial aid is asigned a number. If that number is not on the FAFSA website, you can call your school of interest and get it. Every financial aid department knows their number.

Now here's a way around all of this.....you can also look up the biggest ENDOWMENTS......the universities with the biggest endowments have the most money to spend on students. I think Stanford is number one. But many universities have billions in their endowments....or they did until the stock market crashed,,,,,,but they still have tons of money.

Good Luck!
