How can I convert ACE credits to UK recognise credits?

I have about 2/3rds of an American degree, in ACE credits, and now I am looking to study for a degree in England and I know that my credits can be converted, but don't know how.

Do you know where this can be done?
How do I know how many english credits mine will work out to be?
Have you done this and what was your experience?

Any information to aid me with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

just in case you don't know, ACE stands fro American Council on Education.

This will be something that Universities assess on an individual basis. You may need to make an enquiry to them first, send them a copy of your current transcript and they will assess if it will be worth submitting a formal application.

UK universities are slighlty different to US ones, so you may be higher or lower up the scale.

You may have to enquire to a number of Uni's to get your answer, but remember it is an individual assessment so one Uni may accept you another may turn you down.
