Concerning FAFSA, Include parents' information if...? |
Do I have to include my parents' information if I am living on my own and not depending on their financial support to pay for college? I think I am going to the financial aid office today though...but the question's still open! Yes you do have to include there information until you are 24 years old. I am currently having this same problem and it sucks!! I'm 22 years old, I've owned my condo for 2 years now and I still have to use my mom's information. I don't get any financial help and my mom is a single parent with 3 college kids, but they sayn my income and hers together is too much for financial aid. I have a $1,000 monthly mortgage and I don't make that much, but the school doesn't seem to care. Yes. Unless you're married or have children of your own you must include your parents' information until you're 23. As I recall, yes, untill you're 22 you have to include parental information nomatter what your living situation is. You have to until you are older then 23 unless you are married or have dependent(s)... It's not until you're 22, it's not until you're 23, until you are 24 you have to report your parent's income. |
