Which is better Computer Aided Drafting specialist or Information Technology specialist?

Hello, I am deciding to go to training in one of these two fields and was wondering which field offers the best in terms of job satisfaction, job security and the most likely field to be able to advance the highest in.

Thanks,

Both fields are good. You can earn a very good living with either. You should select the one that you enjoy the most. Perhaps the CAD specialist as you don't have to worry about fixing things when the network crashes. You just create the drawings. I think it's very enjoyable to create things and you don't have to listen to all the gripes when the computers go down.

I would go for CAD it is fun and you get to be creative (if you like that) Info tech is over rated and over populated right now. I haven't seen many jobs in IT lately but my husband works with CAD and can get a job at the drop of a hat.
