First of all, let us agree that victory in a conflict does not depend on the number of people you kill. It depends on a whole range of factors, from which is the meeting of military aims.
From this standpoint at least, Israel has made a total blunder. It claims it's aims are to put a stop to all rockets being fired into Israel. In order for Israel to 'win' here, it must meet this aim of its, and doing so will be very difficult - the Israeli attacks and raids have only provoked more retaliation from Hamas.
But for Hamas to win, all it has to do is fire a rocket into Israel (thus breaking the Israeli military aim).
Which leads me to question what the real motives are. This is especially so given that there is evidence to say this 'Operation Cast Lead' had nothing to do with the cease-fire and the rockets of December following Israel's breach of the truce (see http://www.creative-i.info/?p=3402 to verify this) as it had been planned even prior to the 6-month cease-fire:

And your expert analysis has got is spot on: the Palestinians are the one's 'causing' their own deaths, wounding and killing their brethren, women and children, flattening their own houses, and starving their own population, JUST so the world can feel sorry for them 'accidentally', and Israel has nothing to do with this at all.

Hamas is a miltant guerilla orginization not an army.....they do not have clear bases or armorys or places that will cripple them if destroyed....air strikes are utterly useless when fighting hamas.

1. Did you grow up in an actual Islamofacist society, and therefore you were indoctrinated, day after day after day, with schools teaching hatred of Israel every day, with government-run media teaching Israel hatred every day, with mosque sermons constantly teaching hatred of Israel? So that now YOU are an Islamofacist?

Do you see Palestinians bleeding, and you STOP THINKING, and you want the suffering to stop, REGARDLESS of who is causing the suffering, REGARDLESS of the fact that the Islamofacist terrorists WANT you to react this way, so that you will ACCIDENTALLY support the Islamofacist terrorists, which is why the Islamofacists CAUSED the Palestinians to bleed?

Um, are you asking me to help you go hunt for whoever SAID the children were terrorists??

Can't you just respond what people actually SAID? It might make things clearer in your mind. Assuming you WANT things clearer. It is a turf war, and a large section of the current land of Israel was built on occupied territory that the UN and Geneva convention legally states that it has to hand back - if there was peace, and it did not have to keep a security force there. The other part was given away in a very contentious act by the UN, which the Arab population is very upset about.
So Israel wants to ethnically cleanse as many people off that land that may have a legal reason to demand the land back. |
