Is U.S. aid to Israel being used to buy up the American press?

Jewish ownership of magazines and newspapers has soared since 1965 when aid began to dramatically escalate. This creates a situation where the American people can be essentially brainwashed into mindless gung-ho zionism. Of all these jewish media moguls - Mortimer Zuckerman,etc. - how many have close ties to Israel? Anyone know of a source that would provide info on this aspect?

I has long since figured that one out. You are correct: as U.S. aid increased precipitously so did Jewish buy-outs of major publications such as the Atlantic Monthly and The New Yorker.

If the ownership of newspapers curve follows the aid curve, then this is certainly a reasonable hypothesis. If the curve of ownership follows the U.S. aid, it would be more reasonable to hypothesize that the ownership is influencing U.S. aid to Israel. I don't know that one can prove there is some kind of dollar transfer, it's evident that major U.S. news outlets are biased pro-Israel but not as much as both houses of the U.S. congress.

I would certainly assume from the "coverage" they provide of the ME that Jewish newspaper and magazines owners are rabid zionists. As to covert funding by the Israelis that can never be proven although the coincidence of chronology is remarkable. It would be a clever idea to use U.S. foreign aid to buy the U.S. press and then use it to manipulate the USG into ever more lavish support for the zionist thingie.

There is no proof obtainable,but you are correct in terms of an analytic approach. Any chart documenting the upward curve in U.S. funds going to the zionist regime will correlate to an equally upward curve in jewish ownership of mass-media outlets. It can't be a coincidence. No doubt the Israeli regime is funding many of these purchases using American jews as a blind.

More importantly I think it is used to fund the election campaign of congressmen and senators through AIPAC. How else do you think the Israeli lobby in the US controls 99% of the congress? For sure that is not the percentage support Israel has in the American street.
